We had a great time at the pumpkin patch today with some of our sweet families. It’s always wonderful to have families make connections and have children interact with their peers in a fun, safe environment! Thank you to all that could attend and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!!

Let’s talk about fidgets. Well actually, first let’s talk about fidgetING. You see, fidgeting is the brain’s way of telling the body, Excuse me, but if you w...ant me to continue to focus and pay attention, then I’m gonna need you to move a bit. The movement alerts and organizes the nervous system so that the person can continue to focus, attend, and learn. As adults, we do all sorts of things to stay regulated when sitting in a Zoom meeting, for example. We might... drink coffee twirl our pen swivel side to side in our office chair chew gum shift in our chair eat a snack doodle tap our toes bounce our legs Fidgeting provides the just-right amount of movement that the brain needs to stay focused.
