Came across this photo from The News Tribune summer of 1969. Little League would have a in house All Star game played I think on the 4 of July between Americans and Nationals. Pictured is the American team. Even though there are future great baseball players and well know citizens in this pic, what I like is that crew sitting at the top . Reminds me of the days when hanging at the ball field was the thing to do. It what we did in those days. And if a picture was being taken, why not get in it. Congratulations to BFHS WPIAL Champions for 2020 in 2A football. They also reached milestones along the way. Nice to see Josh Hough break the career rushing record at BF with well over 4300 yards. The school never really kept track of records in the past. Some of the accomplishments were know unofficially but nothing official like other schools do. The LBF is attempting to do this in the future. It’s good to be recognized for acceptional accomplishments. We soon will be relea...sing a All Time Best QB list covering 116 of playing football at BF. Not easy because the Tigers have had many many acceptioal QB’s. In our research for the best QB’s we have determined a few school records. Most wins all time in a career by a starting QB, Anthony Omogrosso 23. Second is Justin Sciarro 22. Before the expanded playoff format it was Jim D’Achille with 20. Most wins by a QB in single session, Austin French 13. Second Gregg Frankhouser 12. Most TD passes single season Lou Cynkar 15. Second Kevin Scanlon 13. Most TD passes career Kevin Scanlon 23. Most passing yards single season Carlos Cleckley over 1350.
