Let the spring piglet watch commence... roughly 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days from now we could be seeing our next litter of pigs being born. Earlier today Brad and our nephew Easton separated our sows and gilts from the rest of drove that we wanted to breed this year. Then a little while later Mr. Boar arrived to begin his official duties. We're excited to see the offspring from this boar, as we get closer and closer to perfecting our Heinz 57 pigs.

Some times we save some of the good stuff for ourselves, like tonight's supper which we made Ham BBQ. I had honestly never heard of Ham BBQ before until Brad and I started dating, but it has since became one of our quick go to meals. What's even better now is that it will feature our own deli like chipped ham! It definitely takes this simple meal up a notch. We know so many of you are liking our chipped ham too, as we are almost already sold out of it! We will be getting way more made this next time around, but we won't be restocking until January. If you'd like to be on a wait list for this or any of our other items let us know!

Not only is today December 1st and taco Tuesday , but it is also Giving Tuesday! This year we had the honor and privilege to donate meat and eggs a few times to a local organization called Backpack for Snacks . Backpack for Snacks is a program where on Fridays the children's backpacks would be filled with food items so that they would have something to eat over the weekend. When Covid struck earlier this year that left many of these students without access to t...his resource because of the schools not being in session. Well Cody and a few others were not going to let that happen; so they organized weekly pickup locations where these families could continue to get these essential food items. To date roughly 45 families have been helped through these acts of generousity and Cody's willingness to serve her community. That is why we have chosen to give a lb. of hamburger for every lb. sold for this year's Giving Tuesday. Our goal is to donate 50 lbs. to the Backpack for Snacks program. We love supporting small businesses because we know just how important it is to have that support ourselves. I don’t want to get on a soap box here, but this year that is why we decided to collaborate with 2 area business and customers of ours to bring you a few unique gifts for your family and friends. First up we have teamed up with Diana Dickson from Four Diamonds Ranch, LLC to bring you one of a kind soaps, using our very own lard and her goats milk! I can’t be...gin to tell you how this was such a fun process of picking out signature scents to use. There are limited quantities of each soap. Next we have collaborated with Christine Miller from Giggles Sweets N Treats to bring you a few novelty candies which includes not only our nitrate and nitrite free Applewood Smoked bacon but also locally produced maple syrup as well!
