We’re just going to say it. It’s not unusual to leave Olivia N’s classes thinking she might be your new favorite person. Olivia teaches Wednesday mornings at 7 AM. Our weekday morning classes at The Om Lounge are special. Alyssa, Olivia, and Lauren know how to perfectly blend feel good stretches with energizing movement so you get exactly what you need first thing in the morning. Now that we have day 1 under our belt with our new Glofox platform, we have a couple IMPORTANT reminders for you: 1. Please ensure you sign up for the correct class type. We have both in-studio AND online classes listed. If you inadvertently sign up for the online class and come into the studio for class, we may not be able to accommodate you. Our class sizes are still extremely limited.... 2. Please enable push notifications in the Glofox app by going into your settings! It’s the best way for us to communicate class-specific details like if the class you love is booking up fast or if you’ll want to bring a block for the class you signed up for. We might also occasionally send out some special offers & pop-up discounts Don’t worry- only the important stuff! 3. We’re finishing up the Glofox integration with Classpass and Gympass. We’ll update you when these integrations are complete. 4. You can now sign up for auto renewing memberships right on the Glofox app. If you’re thinking about adding yoga into your routine this year, we recommend the Discover membership. 4 classes monthly + lots of perks for $44/month. TWISTER?! Yep, this class was all about the game of Twister. Can you spot the impromptu twister game in our high lunge? ... Today is the day! We’re back in the studio! And, we’re adding 2 new classes and teachers to the schedule. Tuesday 12 PM with Chelidha Thursday 12 PM with Jenni... Our 12 PM weekday classes are now available everyday Monday-Friday. You may have noticed on the schedule that we’ve renamed our noon classes. Om Energize classes are now Om Midday, and they are the same nooners you love with the updated class duration of 50 minutes! The slightly condensed time ensures you can get back to work, errands, and the rest of your busy schedule without stressing about class running over. Reminder: we’re no longer on Mindbody! If you want to schedule studio classes, you MUST download Glofox. Check out our announcement post last week for all the details.

When your friends invite you to ‘Om Happy Hour’ and you realize it’s not the booze kind..... Want free yoga? You’re in luck! We have seva spots open! Wednesday at 12 PM with Suzanne, and Friday at 12 PM with Carla. How does our seva program work? You commit to helping with one class a week. Get here early, help set up, check students in, take temps, and help clean up/sanitize after class. You can take the class you seva for free ... and any other class you want! That’s right! If you missed out on Olivia’s Christmas Eve flow this morning or are just looking for a short flow for your holiday, check out Chelidha’s 30 Min Full Body Flow now up on the site! You’ll move through lizard, funky chair, standing splits, plow, and more. Plus, if you’re working on your crow variations, there’s a chance for a cross-leg crow. When practicing a cross leg crow, focus on drawing the energy of your bottom ankle up towards your bum. It’s a fun one! And in Chelidha’s on-demand class, you’ll have plenty of time to pause for your own play time before you continue on. That’s one of the benefits of flowing from our on-demand library.

Thurs: 12pm Thurs: 545pm Sun: 10am Here’s how it works: you commit to one class per week where you help the teacher set up and prepare the studio for class, work the front desk and greet students, handle boutique sales, and then help clean & sanitize after class. In exchange for your service, you’ll get unlimited yoga! That’s right- not just the class you seva, but any class on the schedule. If you are interested in any of the available shifts, please email us at [email protected] If becoming a seva isn’t going to work for your schedule but you’re looking for affordable yoga options this year, we have you covered. Let’s talk about the floating chaturanga that shows up at the end of this sequence. The floating/flying chaturanga is a fun way to experiment with the transition between low runner’s lunge (or lizard) and chaturanga. In general, the goal is to pass seamlessly through 3 leg dog and find a hop. Here’s how:... 1. Start in a low runner’s lunge or lizard pose with your palms pressed firmly on the ground. 2. Your back leg is the one that will be doing the lift-off. This is important to remember! Before you start to move, remember it’s your back leg that is going to push off and give you the lift. 3. Send your front foot to the sky, finding 3 leg dog. As your foot lifts to the sky, bend your bottom knee (these two movements should happen simultaneously). 4. With your bottom knee bent, press into your foot to lift off the ground, finding a hop. 5. While you have some air, start to bend your arms into chaturanga arms and engage your core to feel light as you land in your low push-up. If you have enough air in your hip, consider switching your legs for an extra challenge! The mid-air leg switch is completely optional! If you’re trying this transition for the first time, consider ditching the leg switch. This transition challenges your proprioception, and it’s normal to feel like your limbs are all over the place. Keep practicing! This flow comes from Carla’s Drop the Story class available on the online library. The 60 minute class includes a breakdown and demo of the floating chaturanga. @suzeinbloom also posted about the floating chaturanga on her page a couple weeks ago. Check out her tips! Before this year, if we wanted to provide resources for yoga teachers, we’d put together a workshop and local yoga teachers would gather to learn about creative sequencing principles and vinyasa krama. Now with our online library, we can provide resources and creative sequencing inspiration to yoga teachers all over, and it’s brought us so much joy. Feeding off each other’s energy and finding ways to weave interesting transitions you find online into your own classes is so mu...ch fun. You can catch community classes: Sunday 11:30 AM... Tuesday 4:15 PM (!) Thursday 4:15 PM (!) We understand that this year has been financially difficult for a lot of folks, and providing affordable yoga for our community is important to us. WE HAVE HUGE NEWS We’re dumping the Mindbody app! Get ready for a serious upgrade with our new app - Glofox! When we return for in-studio classes in January, you will no longer use Mindbody to sign up for classes.... Everything will be through the Glofox app! You’ll even be able to sign up for online live-streams with this app (don’t worry online yogis- you’ll still be able to access everything from Namastream too) To get started with our new app: 1. Download the free Glofox app for iPhones or Android devices. 2. Launch the app and search for The Om Lounge. 3. After selecting the studio, press the Forgot Password option in the top right corner. 4. Enter the email address that’s on file with us (from your existing Mindbody account that you have with our studio). 5. Follow the directions in your email for setting a new password. That’s it! We’ll take care of ensuring everything from your Mindbody account (like your billing and membership info) is transferred over to the new Glofox app. Just complete those steps, and you will be all set to book with us in January! P.S. We sent these directions as well as our updated holiday livestream schedule for the week to your email! Jenni is a recent graduate of our YTT program, and we’re SO pumped for what she has is store for you. Online yogis, get ready for some meditations and short flows up on the library from this yogi-queen. @zen_with.jen is also teaching an in-studio donation class on Saturday 12/19 at 2 PM. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. This shelter offers a 24-hr hotline, housing, counseling, support groups and more. It’s free to sign up for class on ...Mindbody, and we ask that you bring a cash donation with you on the day of class. In-studio yogis, you’ll see Jenni pop into the schedule a few times over the next month and when you do, make sure you take advantage of it. Jenni is a doll, and you’ll quickly fall in love with her creativity (and her smile, but you’ll just have to use this photo as proof because, you know... masks)

Prior to becoming certified to teach in June 2020, you could find her on her mat nearly every day as a student in the OG studio. Since then? She’s blossomed into a talented yoga teacher, but chances are she’s still practicing beside you in class at the studio. Nikitha is exceptionally dedicated to her practice. Incorporating both strong/dynamic movements AND mobility/stretching in a sequence ensures we have a balanced practice.... What’s your go-to movement? It’s Lauren’s 30th birthday today! We love @l_hanlon and we know you do too. Her classes are thoughtful, creative, and above all else- authentic! She’s always offering interesting breath work, mudras, and transitions to keep you in the present moment. This Shanmukhi mudra is from her Slam the Brakes 45 minute class in our online library. The class focuses on pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), so this mudra helped us gently close off all of our senses in the beginning of class. P.S. since this recording, we’ve had a technology glow up! Our brand new camera and new microphone mean in Lauren’s future classes you’ll be able to see & hear her crystal clear

It’s one of many shorter classes now available for you in the online library. Per the latest order, we will cease in-studio classes from 12/12-1/4. Our last day of in-studio classes this year will be tomorrow (Friday) at 12 PM and 5:45 PM. We’re deeply saddened that it’s come to this and that we won’t be able to practice in person together over these next several weeks- especially during a holiday season that will likely be hard for so many of us. If you’re wondering what will happen to your memberships or class passes, we will be sending an informatio...nal email to everyone this weekend. If you’re not on the email list please sign up using the link in our bio. Especially in a time like this, our email newsletter provides crucial information about updated processes, policies, events, and more. In short, we will be transitioning students to online memberships. Your existing membership (and subsequent payment) will pause, and you will be shifted to our online platform for $14/month. For example, if you are a TRANSFORM member, your $95/month payment will pause and you will instead pay $14/month. If you would like to keep your existing membership active in support of the studio, please email us and we will keep your existing membership and discounts active. We deeply appreciate that, but know that is not financially feasible for everyone to do at this time. This is hard, y’all. We are doing everything in our power to be here waiting for you on the other side of this.
