We are proud to announce that we are launching a community fundraiser to cover the cost of therapy for clients who have lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This fundraiser is our effort to help reduce deeply entrenched and lethal institutional inequalities that are further heightened by the impact of the coronavirus. Our POC, trans and queer community members are most at risk: they are the first to lose their jobs, the first to lose safety, and the first to lose access... to healthcare. Our hope is that this fund will live beyond this current crisis and serve as a safety net for current and future community members. Any contributions are appreciated and valued! Small contributions by many community members have funded liberatory movements for decades! #Access4All #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters Artwork by Kimberly Marie Ashby, kimberlymarieashby.com, @amazon_jawn
The Women’s Economic Security Initiative (WESI) Change the Narrative Fellowship is looking to train and empower 10 women who are currently experiencing economic hardship to share their personal stories through professional-level audio, visual, and print production. TCP is proud be a member of the WESI Change The Narrative work group, understanding the importance of providing platforms for women who have experienced economic insecurity, and whose voices have been ignored and ...silenced in larger discussions about wealth. Selected fellows will be women who have experienced economic hardship within the last year and are interested in changing the public narrative about economic hardship by sharing their personal stories. To view eligibility requirements and application information, please visit womensway.org/fellowship for details. Applications will be accepted from October 14th to November 1st. #WESI
