Our Elves have been hard at work getting the train ready for us to visit Santa. The Santa Christmas Tree Express will dash down the tracks starting Friday November 27th. Trains depart our Honesdale station at 10:00, 1:00 & 4:00 on November 27th , 28th & 29th. December 5th , 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th. We will head down the tracks to Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm. Where we will be getting off the train (steps required) to visit Santa , enjoy complimentary Hot Chocolate, and... pick out and purchase a Christmas Tree. If you purchase a Christmas Tree (purchased separately at the tree farm not included in the price of the train ticket). We will bail it up and place it on our flat car to return to the station with you aboard the train. There will also be potted plants and wreathes available for purchase. Tickets are $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids 12 and under, 2 and under are free. We are dashing down the tracks in our heated railcars to go see Santa! We have changed our Santa Express trains this year you will be able to visit Santa and also pick out and purchase a real Christmas tree and have it delivered back to the station by the train. Join us at the Honesdale Station Starting November 27th as we prepare to dash down the tracks to Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm. Once we arrive at Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm we will climb down from the train (Steps req...uired) to visit the jolly old elf himself. Santa will be available to say hello to all the children and will pose for pictures, along with Santa’s special mailbox will be there to make sure Santa gets everyone’s Christmas list. Enjoy complementary hot cocoa and cookies as you look for that perfect Christmas tree to purchase. Passengers will have approximately one hour to visit Santa and choose and purchase that special Christmas tree. We’ll bale and tag it and you can watch it being loaded on our flat car. Then passengers and trees will be returned to the station. Once the train arrives back at the station our crew will unload the trees from our flat car and place it so you can take it to your vehicle. The Crew will not assist in securing trees to vehicles. Please note that the tree cost is an additional cost. Christmas trees are priced individually and sold by Dein Nurseries. Prices will vary according to size and variety of tree. Wreaths and potted trees will also be available. Cash and credit cards are accepted at Santa’s Tree Farm.
