Breaking News: the City will permit gyms to reopen on January 4, 2021. This is a developing story.

Here’s a good story about technology that supplies soap-and-water for hand washing and that disinfects phones. As our members already know, hand-washing and device-cleaning are fundamental tactics in the Training Station’s safety plan.

The Training Station will reopenwith great careon July 27, 2020! Workout times can be booked using our new reservation system that goes live on July 25, 2020, at Noon. Here's the summary of our safety plan: : A must-use reservation system that guarantees 15 or fewer members present at the same time. : At the door, every hand is washed with soap and water and all belongings cleaned and disinfected.... : About 70% of our equipment is spaced 6’ or more, for the rest, we give members cones to block access to the machines to their right and left. : Our cleaning program has been audited and rated as the Gold Standard of Cleaning in Relation to COVID-19." : A licensed HVAC technician has installed award-winning, in-duct air purifiers that kill up to 99% of bacteria, mold, and viruses. Philadelphia’s Health Commissioner today announced that gyms may reopen on Monday, July 20, 2020. He also said that gyms will be sent a letter giving very strict safety standards. Importantly, Philly’s Department of Public Health will be sending out unannounced inspectors to confirm that gyms are following the standards, under penalty of being immediately shut down if they are not. So, we are awaiting the letter to confirm that we are meeting all of the required safety standards. Then we will announce our reopening date. In the meantime, please check out our safety plan.

PA Gov. Wolf yesterday issued a Yellow Phase Order for Philly. Gyms re-open when he issues a Green Phase Order. The date of the Green Order has not been announced.
