In 1966, Susan Bottomly appeared on the cover of Mademoiselle magazine and met Warhol at a party in Boston. When she moved to New York, she accepted Warhol's invitation to visit the Factory and made films with him while also pursuing a modeling career. Warhol nicknamed her "International Velvet"a play on the 1944 film "National Velvet". Warhol's film "Paraphernalia" (1966) features color footage of Bottomly performing at a party at a trendy New York fashion boutique of the s...ame name.
