As many of you most likely know, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced yesterday new statewide restrictions on bars and restaurants as well as larger indoor gatherings. The new orders include reducing restaurants' indoor dining capacity to 25%, limiting on-premise alcohol consumption to meals only, limiting indoor gatherings to 25 people and implementing telework whenever possible. Wolf went on to say that the new orders for targeted mitigation efforts are in response to... an "unsettling" climb in new COVID-19 cases. The Abington Club and Wet Whistle want to do our part in the fight against this terrible virus. The safety of you, our loyal customers, and our hardworking staff, has always been our number one priority. For this reason, we have decided the best course of action at this time is to quarantine our business for the next 14 days. We will close all inside activities, including the restaurant, so that we can perform a deep clean of the entire Club. Our goal is to re-open the Wet Whistle on Thursday, July 30th with some new, outside areas for you to enjoy our great food and beverages. These areas will include our normal deck space as well as possible seating around the outdoor pool deck. We believe this will create a safe atmosphere and allow even more social distancing for everyone. We thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing you again in two weeks.
