The taxi industry is highly regulated in Philadelphia. "Uber," which dubiously calls itself a "ride sharing network," is indeed an illegal taxi service in the City of Philadelphia according to a superior court judge.

Here are today's "Safe Driving Tips!" Consider Other Drivers Don’t drive like you own the road. Drive like you own the car.... Don’t make assumptions about what other drivers are going to do. The only thing you can assume about another driver with a turn signal on is that they have a turn signal on. He/she might not be turning at all, and just forgot to turn it off. Watch out for aggressive drivers, and try to stay out of their way. They are the cause of a lot of accidents especially on freeways. Never pull out in front of anyone or swerve into someone else’s lane.

Today's "Philly Fun Fact!" To celebrate the Super Bowl, Philadelphia is home to the annual Wing Bowl. The eating competition, which starts at 5:30 a.m., features two 14-minute rounds of wing-eating followed by a 2-minute final lightning round. Pat Bertoletti won this year’s 23rd competition by breaking a record and eating 444 wings

DRIVING TIP OF THE DAY Use "blind spot mirrors." A driver not seeing another oncoming vehicle to the rear left or right while changing lanes is a major cause of accidents.... Cab drivers do this 100 times a day or more and most use these special mirrors to eliminate blinds spots. Check out the video to learn how you can too! Philly’s famed cheesesteaks weren’t actually made with cheese for at least the first decade of their existence, according to Frank Olivieri, owner of Pat’s King of Steaks. Olivieri said that Pat, his great-uncle, initially conceived of it in 1930 as a steak sandwich with onions on a hot dog roll (he was a hot-dog vendor at the time). The cheese didn’t come in until the 1940s.
