Yesterday evening, members of Tionesta and Pleasantville VFD attended a training session on natural gas emergencies at our social hall. Special thanks to the UGI Gas Company and the safety instructors for coming out and presenting the training to us!

Last evening for training, members went over using dry hydrants, drafting, and relaying water via 4 supply hose line. This was a great learning experience for all.

We are at the fire station the first and fourth Tuesday of the month starting at 7PM for training and equipment run up, stop in and grab an application and see what we’re all about!

Tonight we held election of officers for 2021 at our meeting. Congratulations to all! Thanks to all those who submitted Bids for our enclosed trailer. There were 23 total Bids. We are pleased to be able to accept the high Bid of $5050.51. Again, thanks to all those who submitted sealed Bids.

Reminder that our annual ham and turkey party has been canceled due to COVID. We will be drawing the tickets tonight at 8PM here on Facebook Live.

Tonight at our meeting we made a couple of tough decisions. The first decision was to cancel our annual ham and turkey party and to just do our gun raffle virtually over Facebook live. The drawing will take place on the evening of Saturday November 21st. We have also made the decision to cancel any hall rental and not accept any new rentals through at least the end of this year. This has been a tough year for all and these decisions were not made easily but we feel that this in the best interest of everyone.
