HOW MY PATIENTS WILL GET TO SEE ME: I continue to follow the CDC and State Health Department Guidelines in my Dental Practice and my staff and I wear appropriate apparel and continue to keep the office clean. I appreciate all of your patience as my patients as we continue to make the office a safe place and follow all of the guideline, we find that more time is needed for appointments. Though the 15 minute rule has been made a little more lax, my practice continues to follow... the previous guidelines. We will ask you questions when you arrive to the building and call my office on your cell phone. The Professional Building where my office is located also continues to require patrons to the Building to wear masks and to call the tenant of the Building with their Cell phones where we will give a code to use on the silver box next to the door to the entranceway to the Building. If you do not have a cell phone, we ask that you call and confirm your appointment ahead of time, and can answer the questions at that time. After you place the code on the buttons on the silver box, we will buzz you into the building where the door will open when it detects motion from you. You will be given a tag to the building while you are in the building and only one person or family will be allowed on the elevator at a time. We also only allow one family in the waiting room at a time so you may be asked to wait in your vehicle until we have cleaned up the office and can see you. The elevator buttons are to be wiped by the employees of the landlord and I have no way of checking this so you may wish to either wear gloves, bring a wipe or a paper towel to push the buttons. My office has the handles of the doors inside and out wiped after each patient as well as anywhere a patient may have touched by my office staff. My waiting room is now only used for families who cannot wait in their car so we have no magazines or reading materials available any more. If you are bringing a child, please bring something that the child can read or play with while you are here and will take with you when you leave the office. We will not call you in the parking lot until 15 minutes have passed after the previous patient has left the office. We want all of my patients to be safe. We look forward to seeing you. See more

As my Office prepares to reopen after the State of Pa moves to the Green Zone of the Governor’s Safety Plan, I want my patients to know that the safety and wellbeing of my patients and employee(s) is of top priority. We will still continue to follow all universal precautions and wipe down waiting room and common spaces throughout the day as well as sterilize everything. My patients will notice some changes though: 1. All patients will be pre-screened over the phone when sched...uling appointments. 2. Questions will be asked with a screening about Medical History, Symptoms, Travel history and compliance to Social Distancing. 3. Patients will call my office from their arrival and wait in their car. They will be notified when we are ready for them to come into the office. 4. Entrance to the building with a code that minimizes exposure to other patients will now be enforced. 5. Patients will be expected to wear a mask. 6. Patients will be expected to wash their hands prior to being seen. 7. The patient’s temperature will be checked. 8. You will notice changes in the office where seats in the waiting room are distanced 6 feet apart, families will not be allowed to come back to the treatment room with the patients. There will no longer be brochures nor reading material in the waiting room. We will be wearing gowns, N95 Masks doubled, goggles, shields and gloves. 9. As always, we will continue the practice of all surfaces being disinfected before and after each patient contact including door handles, purse shelves and tables, counter tops, pens, chairs, etc. We also continue to stagger appointments and try to keep from overbooking. 10. As I begin this opening process of my Dental Practice, I will continue to follow the CDC, State Health Department, and Dental Society recommendations by seeing only emergency or urgent patients and Medically necessary procedures (which includes some teeth cleanings) and will eventually be getting back to other procedures in my office. When that time comes someone in my office will notify you. Stay well. Stay safe. See more

Having taken courses in Continuing Education Telemedicine 3 years ago, I never thought that I would see the day where I would be utilizing this. Now being in possibly the most dangerous profession to be in at the current time, I have come to embrace the concept of TeleDentistry. I used to believe that everything I do is hands-on and requires contact with patients to solve their problems so I could not figure out where I would ever utilize TeleDentistry. Fortunately, I have b...een able to help many people by TeleDentistry, and it is mostly covered by insurance companies. Since my Practice is closed to in-person treating of patients, I can still help with TeleDentistry and at least alleviate pain for patients and look forward to the time that I can personally hands on treat the public again. Hang in there. This will eventually end, and though our new Normal will be different when this personal quarantine time is concluded, it will be better than what we are enduring at the present time. It will not end all at once, but be a gradual progression. Be well. Be safe. See more

We are all experiencing the effects of the impact of the COVID-19 Health Crisis. In the past week we have faced disruptions in our daily, personal and work lives. These disruptions are changing on a daily basis. My updates have been sporadic, simply because I don’t want to overwhelm you with updates which are shifting and changing daily. What was ok one day is not the next. In an effort to support national efforts to fight the COVID- 19 pandemic, my practice has been taking t...he following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community: 1. My Practice is following directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a way to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus. I receive constant updates from the CDC and check their website multiple times daily. 2. Your health and the health of my staff matters and have therefore suspended non-emergency care for the immediate present time. 3. Patients are now being seen only for urgent and emergency dental needs. My office will contact you soon to reschedule routine hygiene appointments. If you are already scheduled for an urgent issue, my office will contact you the day before your appointment to discuss your health status, health screening protocols and confirm whether the appointment should be kept. Of course, please call us right away if you have a dental emergency or need immediate care. The safety and well-being of my patients continues to be my primary concern. I will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding my office plans to reopen for business as usual. I urge you to contact my office if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached by phone at 724 223-0220 or by email to [email protected] and will respond as soon as I can. I will continue to post updates as the situation unfolds and new information becomes available. In the last 2 weeks we have already overcome tremendous challenges. Although we will continue to be faced with new challenges, it gives me great confidence to see what our community is willing to learn, adapt, and adopt in these difficult times. I know that as things close down around us, there is one thing that will not shut down and that is our resilience. Be safe. Thank you. Dr. Tom Green
