Time once again for our Spring Open house. As he has so many times before, Grahm Dion will set the tone for the weekend with his solo keyboards. Refreshments will be part of the scene along with an always - interesting stream of people. Spring on the Island. Make it.

Over the winter a number of logs accrued to me from salvage sources. We turned them into lumber this spring. The big slabs are referred to as "flitches" and the sawing and stacking in the "bole" is typical of a method I saw in Europe 40 years ago. The log pile kept growing as did the parade of flitches.
