This weekend marks four years since we opened our little yellow door to our community. We didn’t make a big deal this year, because truly we are experiencing th...e biggest growth push we ever have and didn’t have time in our kitchen or our brains to do anything substantial. But, if you came into the bakery today, we gave you a cookie with a note of thanks for your support. And honestly, hearing the surprised little thank yous all day was a huge bright point and reminded me all the sappy reasons we opened this place - to actively bring goodness into people’s lives. If you didn’t stop in today, that’s okay. If you’ve ever said something kind about us or referred someone to us, if you’ve ever bought a sticky bun or 100 sticky buns, if you’ve ever ordered a cake or let us participate in your big day, if you’ve offered feedback to help us improve or told us how much you love the eclairs, if you’ve ever liked a post or posted a review, if you’ve ever smiled at one of our employees or chatted about your day while you decide between cupcakes or muffins - we are thankful for you. People still tell me today that a small business thriving in downtown Mifflinburg isn’t possible. Y’all have proven them wrong with your support of our little shop, and I’m so proud Gable House gets to claim this place as home. Onto year 5!
