NOTICE is hereby given that the Towamencin Township Board of Supervisors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, May 26, at 7:30 pm, via Zoom. Members of the public may view/listen to the meeting remotely as the Meeting Hall will not be open to the public. This meeting will include the following zoning items: Conditional Use Opinion and Order - Planet Fitness, Consider Acceptance of NPSD Map Amendment Application, Authorize Hearing: Proposed Zoning Text Amendment for Corners...tone Premier Homes. Email [email protected], until 4:30 pm, May 26, for login info and/or to submit a resident or taxpayer question/comment to be read during the public comment. Include your name and address along with public comment submissions. Fischer's Park Bridge Complete! For the first time in several decades, there is once again a pedestrian bridge in Fischer’s Park crossing Towamencin Creek. In decades past, when the park was a private venture offering recreational facilities including swimming pools, cabins, and creek swimming holes there had been various bridge crossings. Over the years, these were removed by the private owners or in one case washed away by raging flood waters. The Township’s master p...lans for Fischer’s Park have long called for the placement of a pedestrian bridge, not only as an aesthetic feature to view the old waterfall dam, but as crucial link to both parts of Fischer’s Park. There is additional 23 acres of Fischer’s Park across the creek. On the northern side, the bridge leads to the Arneth house meadow area and hopefully in the future to an Evansburg State Park trail connector. The bridge was constructed using earnings from the Arneth Fund that was bequeathed to the Township by Elizabeth Arneth with the condition that the fund can only be used for Fischer’s park. See more

Outdoor Volunteer Opportunity Help us clean up the environment while getting outside and enjoying nature for a bit! The Towamencin Township Environmental Advisory Council is holding a streamside trash and recyclables pick-up between Kriebel Road and the Towamencin Creek. It will be on Saturday, January 9th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The rain/snow date will be Sunday, January 10th at the same time. Dress for the weather. Face masks are required to be worn and we will be maintaining social distancing. Plastic gloves and trash bags will be provided. We will meet in Green Lane Park (GPS location is 2201 Kriebel Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446) near the new restrooms. The event is ON for tomorrow! We look forward to seeing all the reserved carriage/wagon riders. Due to CDC Guidelines there are NO Walk on carriage rides this year, all rides are SOLD OUT. *Please note that due to heavy rain/parking reduction that there is NO in-person attendance for the Tree Lighting.... The Tree Lighting will be live streamed on our Facebook Page: Towamencin Township, around 6:15pm.
