Yesterday evening, the Tower crew joined 27 other members from stations 73, 74, 5-2, and 5-6 for training that was instructed by Harvey Boyer. This training consisted of hose line advancement, forcible entry, victim search, aerial placement, firefighter rescue, and survival using the Northumberland training center which was smoke charged. Tuesday evening, the Tower crew joined stations 73, 74, 5-6, and 7-2 for "Firefighting and the Challenges of the Downtown" which was instructed by Harvey Boyer. The first part of this training was a walking tour of the heart of Northumberland to discuss the challenges of fighting fires in certain buildings in the borough.
