Drop an emoji in the comments and let me know what local fruit/veggie you are most excited for! Side Note: The cherries pictured are sour cherries. Reminder: We are closed! Store will be opened back up tomorrow. Today we pause, with our family, to remember the ultimate sacrifice made from true heroes.
Our social media accounts have been a little sleepy, but rest assured, we have been BUSY! Our store is still currently stocked with canned goods, Golden Delicious apples and Pink Lady apples. We finished planting trees a few weeks ago and the fruit is growing. Swipe to see how things currently look. We are excited to open up for the Summer. Stay tuned for updates!... The fruit is pictured as follows: peaches, apples, nectarines, apricots, pears, sour cherries, grapes and sweet cherries.

Heads - up! We were hoping to announce an apple dumpling order/pick-up day today for Valentine’s Day. We were thinking about having pick up be on Saturday, February 13th. However, the extended forecast is calling for a chance of snow that day. We will continue to monitor the situation. If the weather forecast changes we will let everyone know with another post, and we will start to take orders for the 13th. It is also possible we will just do things early and have pick-...up be on Friday, February 12th. If anyone is interested few free to DM us with your preference. We will try to make a decision based off of interest and the weather. ...this is why we don’t normally try to do this in the Winter. Hope everyone is enjoying the snow!
Let’s have some fun on National Pie Day! Drop a comment and let us know if you would rather have apple pie or an apple dumpling. Comment A for pie and B for dumplings.
It’s not too late to make applesauce! In fact the apples are perfect. They do not need to ripen and they will cook up fairly quickly. This is a job I do once the kids are back in school! We still have lots of apples available for anyone looking for a Winter project.
Don’t forget we are open all year! We still have 8 varieties of apples in stock (see the list below). We also have frozen cider, canned goods, deer apples, hay, straw and ear corn. Keep in mind we do not keep the credit card machine active during the Winter/Spring.... APPLES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE: Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Stayman, Pink Lady, Fuji, Jonagold, Gala & Granny Smith.
Don’t forget to share your snow day pictures with us! We are going to share our own throughout the day.Don’t forget to share your snow day pictures with us! We are going to share our own throughout the day.
Yes!! Thank you Greencastle-Antrim School District! We think this is an amazing idea. The kids still get to have fun on a day home. They can complete inside activities or be outside in the snow...AND it still counts as a school day! As a family, we want to thank our district superintendent, school board, teachers and all the staff who have been working hard to keep our kids in school as much as possible this year. Grandma Tracey always says, A snow day is a day off s...chool, not a day off of life. We want to help our community celebrate this day in a positive way. Please post pictures in the comments of your kids having fun in the snow or completing their attendance points for the day. Who knows maybe one of your pictures could give someone else an idea. If your kids don’t go to GASD who cares! Post anyway! And PLEASE...no negative comments! We could all use some positivity.
We have so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving... The customers we serve, businesses we work with, and the community we live in, all rank pretty high on our list. So, Thank you! We wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! ... The Traceys @double_shutter Double Shutter Photography
Time to set the record straight... NOW is the BEST time of the year for cider. Once all of the apples have been picked we are able to supply the cider press with the best blend of tart and sweet apples. Having a blend of all the different apple types is what allows for the richest flavors. ... Our cider is flash pasteurized and does not contain any preservatives. Which is why our cider requires refrigeration and has a shorter shelf life than the cider you see at the grocery store. Our cider also contains more pulp. Which also creates a richer flavor. Enjoy this molasses cookie recipe this holiday season. It is one of our favorites and pairs beautifully with a cup of cold or warm cider.
It actually works pretty well. Sean- 1 Tara-7,000 PLEASE feel free to caption this.
