Congrats to these future residents!
We continue to be inspired by the generosity and resilience of residents across Traditions of America communities! Victory Family Church, a well-know Church in Pittsburgh's North Hills, has become a food distribution center for those in need during the Covid pandemic. The Church coined their drive Help Your Neighbor and it couldn’t be more aptly named. In just under 24 hours, residents of Traditions of America at Cranberry mobilized to create a robust pantry of food items to donate. This is an impactful outreach effort that will undoubtedly continue beyond the pandemic.
Our clever and determined homeowners are thinking of some really creative ways to Live Better while social distancing! In a fun twist of the beloved happy hour,... Social Without Gathering sees neighbors living in odd-numbered homes pull their chairs, beverages and music of choice to the end of their driveways while neighbors living in even-numbered houses take a stroll down the block, drinks in hand, and stop to chat with those seated in the driveway. The following week, they reverse: odd numbers walk and evens sit. Walking or staying put fun is had by all! Homeowners, we want to hear from you! Tell us how you and your neighbors are staying social while distancing. Click below to send us a message with your stories.
The Sew What Club at Traditions of America at Lititz, a group of 20 women, has banded together to put their passion to work for the greater good. In the face of the COVID pandemic, they deftly mobilized to make face masks for local health care facilities in need. The masks were also offered to neighbors who might have to venture out for an appointment or to the grocery store. Normally you’d find them working together in a craft room at the Clubhouse (pictured below) but under the State order, they are busily working away in the comfort of their homes. We are so proud of their commitment!
Residents across our communities are continuing their favorite past-time with some new ground rules. The Pickle Ball Club at Traditions of America at Lititz is... still serving and volleying on sunny days, but instead of high-fiving after a well-deserved point, they tap the tips of their racquets from six feet apart. Between points, they take turns grabbing a disinfectant wipe from a dispenser at mid-court to wipe down their hands, ball and racquets. Now more than ever, it’s your community that matters most.
