We finally have a few Shimano Tranx 400HGA in stock. Left hand crank 401A and 401HGA are still on backorder but we are expecting them soon.

I have decided to no longer offer live bait at my shop. This was a difficult decision but the hours, maintenance, and employees needed to sell bait is something that I feel I can no longer do. I will still maintain a well stocked shop with fishing tackle, fly fishing and fly tying supplies, line spooling, and fishing licenses. The Allegheny River this morning in Kittanning. If it rises a couple more feet it will be in the park.

I tested positive for Covid (just a bad cold) so the Tackle shop be closed for a little while longer. Since Diane I work closely together we decided it would be in our customer's best interest to temporarily close the Frame shop also until we get through the quarantine.

Transue's Tackle will be closed tomorrow on January 30th. I seemed to have caught a cold and I don't want to take any chances with my customers. Sorry for the inconvenience and hope to be back to normal by Tuesday.

Bait shops exempted from business closure orders https://www.post-gazette.com//live-ba/stories/202004040013 We are reopened as of today. I was under the impression that retail sporting good shops were not allowed to be open but according to the above article it looks like we can. We will be allowing only two customers in the shop at one time.

We will strive to continue to be opened for business through this ordeal. We will provide parking lot service for any customer who doesn't feel comfortable entering the store. Parking lot purchases of bait and tackle can be made from your vehicle by calling my store at 724-543-2971 during regular business hours. The PF&BC has followed the PGC lead and is charging $3.oo for the 2019 Fishing Summary pamplet this year. I don't expect to sell many.

2017 Allegheny River Pools 6,7,& 8 Muskie Tournament Hosted by Three Rivers Muskies Inc. Signup and Fees Tournament Headquarters will be at Rosston Boat Launch... (Mouth of Crooked Cr.) Signup will be from 6:00 to 6:45am September 16th at Rosston boat launch, Tournament hours are 7am to 4pm Entry fee is $25 for Muskies Inc. members Nonmembers entry fee is $35 Cash tournament 1st place 50%, 2nd place 30%, 3rd place 20% 50" pot is suspended for this tournament due to possible distance between member boats Everyone must sign a release form if you haven't signed one this tournament season All fishing to be done from upriver side of lock 6, to breast of the dam at lock 9 There will be NO FISHING outside tournament hours Largest 3 fish win the tournament, only one fish entry per person In the case of a tie, the fish caught at the earliest time from start time will break the tie Please bring a digital camera, cell phone or video camera in which you can get a photo of the fish 100% Catch and Release, 30" minimum size limit to be eligible for prizes. Fishing with my grandson Weston today and Dad showed him how to fish plastic worms. Weston did great!
