Santa!! I know him!! The members of Good Will Fire Co. #1 of Trexlertown will be bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus around our primary service area on Saturday, December 19th. Due to COVID-19, things are going to be a little different this year. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be staying in the truck at the stops, and there won't be any photo opportunities with Santa.... Members of our Fire Team have been deputized by Santa to hand out a bag of treats to all the good little boys and girls at each stop. We will be masked up and taking all precautions when handing out the goodies, and we ask that everyone who comes out please wear masks and do your best to social distance. We wanted to bring a little bit of normal to what has been a challenging year. We appreciate your understanding of the changes we are implementing this year in an effort to keep you, our Firefighters, and Santa and Mrs. Claus safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing everyone out there!

The Officers and Members of Good Will Fire Co. #1 of Trexlertown send their deepest condolences to LVHN MedEvac, Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services and the Shambo family on hearing of the passing of Paramedic Don Shambo. Don has been a pillar of the EMS Community in the Lehigh Valley for decades. He started his career in EMS as a teenager 45 years ago when he joined the Whitehall Fire Department, then becoming an EMT at the Whitehall Emergency Squad. He became a paramedic in 1980 and worked for LVHN MedEvac for over 30 years as a Flight Paramedic, retiring last month. Don is a past president of the Lehigh County Ambulance Association. Rest in Peace, brother.

This morning at 0353, station 25 was dispatched to a structure fire on Oldt Road in the township. A second alarm was transmitted shortly after dispatch, after 801 was told by LCR that the fire had spread from a shed to now a house. Station 8, 25, 56, along with it’s mutual aid partners brought the fire under control after 3 hours of work. We want to thank our surrounding fire departments who assisted today, working together to get the job done. All together 14 different stati...ons responded. Thank you to the following stations! Tomorrow is the big day! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be escorted by members of the Trexlertown Fire Team to stops all around our response area. We're looking forward to seeing everyone and handing out treats to all the good little boys and girls. As much as we want things to be like years past, this year is a bit different. Santa and Mrs. Claus won't be getting off of the truck, so there won't be an opportunity for photos. Members of the Fire Team have been deputized as Elves ...and will be handing out the treats at each stop. The treats are all packed in individual bags. Elves will be masked up and wearing gloves. While we would love to see everyone's smiling face, we ask that you all wear masks as well, and do your best to social distance. If you would like the exchange to be contactless, let one of the elves know and we can make that happen. We hope to bring a bit of Holiday joy to a challenging year, and hope to see everyone tomorrow!
