This is from us again, Happy birthday Pastor!!
In the midst of dilemma & test, remember God has not forgotten you!! It totally feels like one hit after another, like in a prize fight. What Satan really wants to do is steal your joy and make you denounce God. But we already know we have the victory, we are winners because we are on victory’s side, if we are on the side of the Lord, we cannot go down, we cannot lose, so be encouraged today and let me say, for those of us that are going through, read the book of Habakkuk, all three chapters, & yet rejoice!!!
Peace and blessings on this holy morning all praises to the one and only God, because Christ is risen we too can rise and give him glory! Let us give praises today as we celebrate the risen Savior who causes us to triumph in victory!! Happy Resurrection day!
Reflecting back on the year, we have had many challenging times, there are families that have lost loved ones, there are people that have been hurting, there are things that have overcome us and overwhelmed us, but we have made it this far. There will be many empty seats at holiday tables and many issues that families are dealing with, however, God has blessed us to come this far and this is the season we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we just want to say as the year closes, we would like to wish you the best Christmas ever and we look forward to a blessed & prosperous New Year!! From Pastor Denniston A. Muir & the Tried Stone church family !! 2020
We may not all be able to gather together, but we have much to be thankful for. We are still blessed and kept by God. Even in the midst of what has happened, this is a joyous day. Be thankful & joyful. Pastor Denniston A. Muir & Co-Pastor Patty D. Graham-Muir, wish you a blessed Thanksgiving
50 yrs Celebration
Sunday, October 11,2020, Tried Stone will be celebrating 50 yrs!! Although we may not be able to celebrate the way we want during this time, but we will celebrate as we are grateful to God for caring us and prospering us for these many years. We pay homage to our founders, as we will celebrate Bishop James Ford tomorrow, and the memory of Bishop David Graham and Elder Catherine Graham! I don’t believe He brought us this far to leave us!!
Our ladies put a praise on it!!! #proudpastor
As we are approaching our 50th church anniversary, as I was looking through some old photos, I found this one of our precious Mother Mary Long, singing at our old edifice. Mt. Zion Pentecostal church, now known as The Meeting Place, was with us in our infancy & 50yrs later we are still in fellowship. #50yrs
Tried Stone’s AGAPE PRAISE Youth Sunday
Some may have friends like Job did, when experiencing a season of constant trouble & test, came with words of discouragement accusatory words and only making him feel worse than he already was. They accused him if doing evil. But what they didn’t know was God had his hands on Job, using him as an example of a believer that trust God. But even though Job May not have known why he was dealing with so much when the Bible declared him as a blameless and upright man. But his true example of loyalty was when he said Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him! Sometimes we’re dealing with issues we don’t understand but continue to serve God he is on the side of the righteous!
I know it might be last minute, but we will be passing out food tomorrow between the hours of 10-12!! We have loads of fruits & vegetables. Pass the word to anyone you know may need groceries. 6533 Wyncote Ave in the Germantown section of Philadelphia ... We love our community!!!
We are in desperate times, & one desperate times, calling on our God is a must. We trust & believe in the power of prayer. Although we may pray daily, we are also an advocate of corporate prayer. When believer unite in sincerity, & bombard heaven our God is faithful and answer our prayers. On this Thursday, May 7, 2020, we are acknowledging our National day of Prayer. Although we cannot physically come together let us pause at some point if this day, and pray for family, our houses of worship, our government, our nation & our future.
Don’t allow yourself during this time to be broken down, torn down, or downtrodden, but we have to keep our eyes directly on Him who controls our destiny! We may be going through a pandemic or even a personal trial, even losing love ones, but God is the author and the finisher of our faith we must maintain our belief, we must hold ontoour strength, and Live in the power that God has put with in us that have the Holy Ghost! build yourselves up!
