Triple Creek Rod and Gun 30.06.2021

Well, Mother Nature sure is messing with us this Memorial Day weekend. But, hopefully, you turkey hunters are getting your last hurrah of the season and maybe Monday will bring nicer weather for one final chance to score your gobbler. Fishing in the rain can be pretty successful, but it is also cold and who likes to be wet and cold. Not me! For us, we always look forward to two days of drag racing at Beaver Springs. It didn't happen today, and tomorrow isn't looking too ...good either. Regardless of your current situation, make the best of the long weekend. Take a moment and reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy our freedoms (and the ability to complain about the weather when we can't). After all, Memorial Day isn't about the hunting or fishing or in our case, drag racing. We thank God for the men and women of the Armed services who didn't come home; we will never forget. As a head's up....2021/2022 Hunting Licenses will go on sale June 14th. More on that later! We will be open from 8AM until 12 noon on Memorial Day Monday. Stop in and see us soon! God bless America!

Stop in and see us soon! We have ammo--9mm, 380, 17HMR, 22 bird shot, 5.56/223--quantities are limited. Inventory is arriving every week--never know what might show up! But, as slow as it comes in, it goes out quickly! Call or stop in often! We have Rohm's turkey calls, turkey loads, etc. to help you out on your quest for that gobbler! Turkey season runs the entire month of May with the last day being Monday, May 31. We also have bait and tackle! Surprise mom with a new... fishing rod and reel for Mothers Day! Or, how about a candle from Buffalo Creek Candles? They sure do make our store smell good! Thanks for hanging in there with us...there might be a small flicker of light shining at the end of the pandemic tunnel--don't give up hope! See you soon!

A little chilly start to the opening day of Trout season, but it should be a good day of fishing as the day rolls along. The sun is shining! Thanks to all who came to see us and purchased your licenses and bait and tackle. We will be open until noon today (Saturday) and closed on Sunday. We hope you all enjoy your Easter holiday surrounded by friends and family. We plan on doing the same. We will be back in the shop on Monday!... See you soon!

Today is National Mom and Pop Business Day! Well, we are not exactly sure of the definition of a mom and pop business, but we are pretty sure we qualify! Just because there are only two of us, with no employees, and we are certainly a mom and pop! There are not too many of our kind around anymore. A lot can be said for those businesses such as ours for staying in it for the long haul. Over the years we went from Randy peddling his tires in his truck to being an employer w...ith 13 full and part-time employees and full circle to where we are today--just the two of us. One thing we have learned is bigger is not always better, and like a marriage you must be committed to make your business succeed. It takes a lot of long hours, hard work, and determination. The definition of success varies as well. We consider ourselves successful, not because of the bucket fulls of money we have accumulated over the years (that is far from the truth--we would have done much better had we stayed employed elsewhere). We have been successful because we have weathered the storms (and there have been many), we stayed the course (with a lot of prayer and a few gray hairs gathered along the way), and we managed almost 36 years in business together (thanks in big part to all those employees throughout the years, our supportive family especially that of our daughter and her husband, and our loyal customers). We are now living in uncertain times. Proposed government regulation is threatening the firearms business. Product is hard to get and when we do get it, it is gone within a few days. Sales are good, but the future remains to be seen. We can only hope the following of customers we have acquired over the past year will continue to remember us if and when product availability gets better. For now, we will continue and keep on keeping on. We thank you all for your loyalty (you know who you are). We also thank you in advance for your prayers and support as we all navigate unchartered waters. We the People stand firm and steady and by the grace of God we will remain. Support your local mom and pop businesses! Thank you!

Labor Day weekend 2020 -- the "official" end of summer? Mother Nature is ushering in some beautiful weather and we'll invite her to remain! We will be open on Labor Day Monday from 9AM until 2PM. In case you haven't noticed, we have changed our hours a bit to accommodate our customers and our working-away-from-the-store hours. We are now open until 6PM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, but do not open until 12 noon on those days and Fridays. We will remain open until 7P...M on Fridays and Wednesdays (open at 3PM on Wednesdays), and our Saturday hours remain from 8AM until 12 noon. We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we have to do what is best for us and ultimately our customers. We've been here many years and have learned to adapt as the need arises. Randy did manage to find some handgun ammo this week. Quantities are limited. A word to the wise...don't wait until hunting season to stock up on your ammo needs. The ammo/firearms industry is crazy right now. If you see it and you need it, you better buy it! Once again, thanks for remembering us for your hunting and fishing needs. We're doing the best we can to keep you stocked up! Stay safe and enjoy your long holiday weekend!
