Here's a great example of where cues become reality. Be careful when speaking to a hitter, because they will literally hear you. Often times this is a compensation for one of the earlier issues we've discussed. So directions like: Keep your hands inside the ball, Take the knob to the ball or... Throw your hands often means use less body to the hitter. These are directional cues to compensate for a spin. Can create hooking of the ball Produces very little force and bat speed and/or racing back elbow. Certainly out of sequence. Often used with amateurs to "make contact", but that disappears and causes more swings and misses with better play.
