Tuesday Musical Club 13.06.2021

TMC String Ensemble & Wind Instruments View beginning APRIL 13, 2021, 1 PM via YouTube Paul Critser, Director Free Public Event... Paul Critser, TMC String Ensemble Music Director, explores the musical setting of each piece in this encore concert that was originally performed on December 11, 2018. Wind Instrument Division members join the TMC String Ensemble to perform Mozart's "Symphonie Concertante" (K279b). This piece is scored for 4 solo wind instruments (Soloists: Bill Lewis, oboe; Jean Preckel, bassoon; Carol Gilmore, clarinet; and Elise Villella, horn) plus orchestra (wind instrument members include Karyn Dombrosky (1st) and Dylan Evers (2nd), oboes; Tom Fitzpatrick (1st) and Carl Iezzi (2nd), horns). The program includes the Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor, RV 531 by Antonio Vivaldi featuring cellists Alice Kalla and Karl Van Ausdal, and the Dag Wirén Serenade for Strings. Also on the program is a performance of "A Minute's Pause" a solo violin piece by TMC Composer Judy Bruce perfromed by PSO violinist Laura Motchalov.
