Christkindl Market of Mifflinburg 10 hrs Since we cannot celebrate the Christkindl Market in person this year, we reached out to our 2019 vendors to help promote them virtually this year. Contact information is available in the attached images and will be updated on our website soon. Over the next weeks, vendors will be featured here on Facebook with pictures and more information about goods and services. Some vendors can ship items to you and others will be providing times to pick up goods locally. We hope to continue the festive spirit through December while navigating the current global heath crisis.

At their recent meeting, the Mifflinburg Christkindl Market Board of Directors decided to cancel the 2020 Christkindl Market. This was not an easy decision for us to make. Realizing the disappointment this brings to our community, vendors, and Christkindl fans, we believe that we made the responsible decision to cancel. Planning for our Market goes on throughout the entire year. There are too many unknown variables with regard to the future of the Covid-19 virus especially wi...th predictions that it could escalate in winter. It was felt that moving forward with planning, with the possibility of a last-minute shutdown, would create many administrative challenges and would be a waste of resources. More importantly, our decision was made out of an abundance of concern for public health and safety. The Christkindl Board is exploring the possibility of hosting an online Christkindl experience that would include the opportunity for would be visitors to connect with our craft and food vendors to make purchases of gifts and food items. We are also considering offering links to online performances by some of our popular performers. More details about our online Christkindl experience will be made available in the future. As a vendor at this event for 25 plus years - we totally support the decision of the Christkindl Market committee. This event takes a year of a lot of work by this committee to make it happen. They have been very committed over many years, knowing that this had to be a very hard decision to cancel. The health and well being of all is extremely important.
