On the fiftieth day after the Resurrection of Our Lord we celebrate the great Feast of Pentecost. This Feast is one of the major feasts in the Church, both East and West. It is on this day that the Church had begun. Christ our Lord founded the Church and is the invisible Head of the Church. Our Savior had instructed and prepared His Apostles for this day. In Acts 1:4, Jesus tells them to remain in Jerusalem to wait for the promise of the Father, about which you have heard Me speak.
