IMPORTANT MESSAGE I am sure many of you have heard that the Community Center is planning to re-open on September 8 (to Community Center members only). We want UMSSC members to know that we are currently evaluating how the Senior Center can safely open, although no decision has been made when that will be. There will be many changes required as many of our activities require close contact with each other. Safety is of the utmost importance to us and to all of our members. Plea...se know that we are doing everything necessary to adhere to any CDC requirements for re-opening in order to provide our members with a safe and healthy environment. We will notify you when the Senior Center plans to re-open. Thank you, Dick McCann UMSSC President

From Medicare.gov Avoid COVID-19 Scams Have you gotten robocalls, text messages, or emails offering free face masks? Or maybe you've seen social media posts about free COVID-19 testing kits, "cures," or protective equipment? ... Unfortunately scammers are using the COVID-19 pandemic to try to steal your Medicare Number and personal information. If anyone reaches out to get your Medicare Number or personal information in exchange for something, you can bet it's a scam.

The heat today and tomorrow will be oppressive. Ensure you are drinking plenty of water and staying cool. If you have to be outside, take extra breaks in the shade to cool down.
