Join intern Rose Schrott for a month-long series on colorful prayer. In addition to relaxing our brains, we believe that the simple act of coloring can serve as a way to center ourselves and become aware of God’s presence all around us. Each week during November, we will post pages to color (see comments) and a video that explores one potential way to use them. This week, we look at coloring and scripture meditation with Lectio Divina. See the steps below, if you’re interes...ted in follow along! 1. Lectio (read) read the scripture passage out loud. What word or phrase sticks out to you? What resonates most deeply with your life in this present moment? 2. Meditatio (meditate) read the passage again. Savor it. What does God say that this text means for your life? 3. Oratio (pray) read the passage. Speak plainly with God like an old friend. Explore your word or phrase together. What might it mean for you today? 4. Contemplatio (contemplating) read the passage. Then, simply listen. Breath deep. How is God responding to you? 5. Actio (acting) read the passage. In light of your prayer today, how is God calling you to act? Coloring pages are in the comments!
