UIG recently upgraded to a new liquid nitrogen system that provides automatic supplemental and back-up supply for UIG’s on-site plant at a chemical facility in North Carolina. UIG has owned and operated this on-site plant for over 10 years, safely and reliably supplying the nitrogen that is critical for tank blanketing and purging operations. UIG has shipped nearly 3,000 tons of medical grade liquid oxygen (LOX) in the first quarter of 2020! Approximately 30% of the medical oxygen produced at our Warner Robins, GA facility goes to hospitals across Georgia and Florida. Oxygen is an important life-sustaining product in the medical supply chain as many people have become more aware with current need to care for Covid-19 patients. The Warner Robins plant is shown below along with several of our operators in the control room.
