Just Released from the North Pole: Santa's Interactive Route Maps East Side Santa Map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit... West Side Santa Map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit This year, we have worked with Santa and his team of elves to create some interactive Stop Location & Route Maps for Santa's visit! Check out each of Santa's planned stops where you see a Santa Marker on the map and find the closest one to you! Each Santa marker gives the numbered stop for either side of the township, along with an approximate window of time that Santa should be coming around that area. On the left hand side tool-bar, scroll down and open up different sections of Santa's planned route, grouped together by neighborhoods or area. There are two maps: one for Santa's East side route, and one for Santa's West side route. Route 309 is the primary dividing line, so be sure to check the appropriate map to see Santa's stops and routes on your side of the township. The Santa Markers on these maps will take the place of physical Santa Stop Markers seen around stop locations last year. Santa Marker numbers directly correlate to the stops and timeframes recently released in our Santa Stop Locations list, the leading letter indicates the East or West side of the township. For example, E-16 would be the 16th stop on the East side of Upper Saucon Township. The timeframes associated with each Santa Marker are approximate windows of time that Santa will be passing through that area. The amount of holiday cheer at each stop, and along the way, may slightly affect the schedule. Be sure to listen for our sirens to get louder and louder as Santa comes down a street near you! As always, please wait for the firetrucks to make a complete stop before approaching the apparatus or stepping out into any roadway. For a safe and healthy Santa visit, please make sure to follow 6-foot social distancing guidelines and to wear a face mask at Santa Stop Locations with multiple households present. Eagerly waiting for Santa, -Your Upper Saucon Fire Department

Update From the North Pole: Santa Stop Locations We have been working closely with Santa and his elves to develop a COVID-safe Santa Run for our community during Santa's visit on Saturday, December 19th! We have increased the amount of stop locations during Santa's tour of the township to alleviate large crowds at each stop. Make sure to check out our 2020 Santa Stop Locations List! The lists are split up by East (Red) and West (Green) sides of the township, utilizing Route 3...09 as the primary dividing line. Please keep in mind that the timeframes given for each stop are approximations that we are aiming for. Some stops and routes may take more or less time than planned for. We are traveling at Santa's discretion and will do everything we can to assure everyone gets a chance to wave at Santa and snap a photo along his way as well! The Upper Saucon Fire Department is an active emergency response agency and we will still be responding to any emergency calls that come in during Santa's visit. We will do our best to get Santa back on his route as soon as we have adequately handled and cleared any emergency calls we may have throughout the day. Remember: If there are multiple people waiting to see Santa at a stop location, please practice 6-foot social distancing and wear a mask for the safety of your neighbors! Stay tuned for interactive maps of Santa's planned routes and stops as well! -Your Upper Saucon Fire Department

Important Message from the North Pole: Santa Claus is coming to Southern Lehigh! We have worked closely with the North Pole, as well as Coopersburg Fire Rescue and Lower Milford Volunteer Fire Company #1, to bring Santa back to the Southern Lehigh area this year! Santa will be visiting each municipality on different dates, so be sure to check what day Santa will be coming down your streets on the flyer below! For the residents of Upper Saucon Township, we will be escorting S...anta around town on Saturday, December 19th, from 11:00am till 7:00pm! We have made some minor adjustments for Santa's visit this year, in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy during the holiday season: -We have added additional preplanned stop locations to Santa's route in an effort to spread out crowds in larger neighborhoods, and to increase the number of areas Santa will be traveling through. Stay tuned for our Upper Saucon Stop Location Schedule to be posted soon! -Santa's doctors have asked him to stay on our fire trucks during his visit to Upper Saucon Township, to make sure he is practicing good social distancing with the community. At each stop location where people are waiting for Santa, we will make sure there is an opportunity for photos next to the fire truck, for those wishing to do so. -We do ask that 6-foot social distancing guidelines are followed, and that masks be worn at all stop locations where crowds exist. -As always, please make sure to wait for the fire trucks to make a complete stop, and to be signaled over by Santa or one of his helpers, before entering the roadway or approaching the fire trucks. Our goal is to help Santa spread cheer and joy, without spreading germs or viruses, to the residents of Upper Saucon Township! Help us to make this a safe and healthy visit for Santa Claus and your neighbors, as Santa makes his way down a street near you! Keep an eye out here for more Santa updates, including our stop locations and estimated times, coming soon! -Your Upper Saucon Fire Department

The Thanksgiving holiday might look and feel a little different this year, but one thing remains the same: the importance of safety, and that includes fire safe...ty. More cooking fires occur on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year. In addition, cooking is the number one cause of house fires in the commonwealth. Safely fry your turkey with these tips: Read the turkey fryer owner’s manual Do not deep fry your turkey in a garage/home or on a porch/deck Use fryers outside away from structures and trees Make sure the turkey is completely thawed Have an all-purpose fire extinguisher nearby More: https://www.ready.pa.gov/Are-You-Ready-/Pages/Article.aspx
