What makes a GREAT gift for under the Christmas tree? A dog park fob! Just a reminder that TODAY from 2-4 PM dog park volunteers will be on site AT THE PARK to conduct registration for those who are unable to complete their registration at the Township office during normal business hours. A volunteer will take your completed registration form (signed by your vet) and your fee. You will get your key fob allowing access to the park. Registration is good for one year beginning the day of registration. See you at the park!

THANKSGIVING OPEN HOUSE: For our third consecutive year, there will be an Open House during Thanksgiving. The gate will be unlocked from Wednesday evening, November 25th and remain open until Monday morning, November 30th. For those not registered at the park, this will give you an opportunity to try out the park and to determine if a dog park is right for your dog. Thanks to all those pups who love the park!

Happy Saturday to all! We have some upcoming events to share. For our third consecutive year, there will be an Open House during Thanksgiving. For those not registered at the park, this will give you an opportunity to try out the park and to determine if a dog park is right for your dog. Also, YOU ASKED AND WE LISTENED! The volunteer Dog Park Committee wi...ll accept new registrations ON SITE on Saturday, November 21. Just bring your completed registration form and the small fee by check and you will get your access key fob. We register the dogs for several reasons. First, we want to ensure that all dogs have their current vaccinations and are safe to participate. Next, the user fee helps cover the initial cost of your key fob which electronically unlocks the gate. It also defrays some of the high cost of waste disposal bags. Finally, we can measure attendance through the system. The registration form will need to be signed by a vet. in advance. For those who frequent the dog park, you may be noticing the increase in attendance. This is GREAT news! We are pleased to share that the registration numbers are on the rise at the dog park. With that said, please keep in mind that for some dogs this may be their first dog park experience. Please help these dogs acclimate to the park. For those first-timers, give your dog some time to sniff through the gate and make that greeting with the dogs already in the park. For ...the dogs that already know and love the park, they often get very excited when seeing new dogs coming into the park. For those owners, please help restrain your dog (if necessary) to prevent an overwhelming experience to the new dog and dog owner as they enter the park. Make them feel welcomed. Above all, watch your dogs body language as that introduction is made. The more we can do to create that happy place for our pups the better our park will be! See more

REMINDER...this weekend is an OPEN HOUSE weekend (Saturday and SUnday) at the dog park. Please share and invite your neighbors and friends to try out the park. We would also love to see some pictures of your pups enjoying our beautiful park. Please post them to our page! Also, GREAT NEWS! Additional benches have arrived and we are hoping to have them at the park for the weekend. Thank you to the township for getting those assembled and hopefully delivered in time for the weekend. A special shout out to Chad Krebs, Park Maintenance Supervisor, for being so attentive to our park.
