Club 7s National Championships will be held in New York City. August 11-12, 2018 at Columbia University.

Open to the first 500 people

After June 1-3, the USA Rugby High Performance 7s Refereeing group will have had two major 7s national championships in which to refine and apply the focus area...s that will continue into the 2018 USA Rugby Club 7s National Championships. Prior to the beginning of the MAC 7s qualifying season, MARR wishes to present these focus areas to you, the MAC teams, so that we can begin the season on the same page with how the law as it applies to 7s within the United States should be applied. Discussion will be focused on refereeing in the qualifying brackets only. Topics to be covered include: -MARR's role in assigning the Premier brackets of MAC qualifiers -Differences in the interpretation of law and severity of sanction between 15s and 7s -New laws and how they apply to 7s -Referees' focus in the 7s game

Congratulations to our USA Club Rugby National Champions! D1 - Life West Gladiatrix and D2 - Charlotte Rugby Club! Both teams showed us fantastic rugby throughout! Well done by all of the clubs that competed for the championship this year - awesome accomplishment!

Division 2 Preview: We will crown a new champion as neither team from 2017 made the tournament this year. The new Champion will be either Charlotte RFC or St. Louis Sabres. Playoff Scoring: Charlotte - 20.125 points for. 19.25 points against... St. Louis - 42 points for. 25.5 points against Charlotte won in four tight matches while St. Louis had comfortable margins until the East championship (won by 7 points). Great matchup and the two best teams from each region. June 2-3, 2018 at Glendale, CO. Will post schedule and link to webstream once available. Good luck!

Division 1 Preview: Life West Gladiatrix vs. Raleigh Venom Rematch from 2017 where Life West won 39-17. Playoff performances: Life West - Two matches (first round bye) 70 points for 13.5 points against... Raleigh - three matches 33 points for 22 points against June 2-3, 2018 will post times and link to stream once available. Good luck to both teams!
