Did you know? Only a little less than one-third of people living in the U.S. actually have a will. Many don’t create one because the process appears complicated, expensive and time consuming. Well, we have good news for you: we’ve partnered with FreeWill to make this process easier than ever! By making a will, your assets will keep working the way you want them to. You can continue to protect your family, help others, strengthen the community and benefit your favorite charit...able causes. You’ll be leaving a legacy of caring. Walmart is supporting our local United Way by giving shoppers the opportunity to round-up their purchases to the nearest $ and donate the change. Round-up is available on WalMart.com and the Walmart app through Jan. 29.
Since the pandemic has limited the NFL's ability to physically pack the stands for this year's Super Bowl, they are opting to bring in fans as cardboard cutouts! This opportunity has been extended to 3,000 United Way supporters staff, volunteers, board members, partners, and beneficiaries. Want to be one of them? Visit https://iqxzps.sbfancutouts.com/ for more information. Hurry though! These "seats" are offered on a first come, first serve basis.
As an extension of our normal Thank You Thursday, we would like to say a HUGE thank you to the Family Service Association of Northeastern PA! This year, 100% of their employees participated in their United Way workplace campaign. This is such a huge accomplishment. Thank you to all of the Family Service Association employees for showing your support for United Way of Wyoming Valley. #LiveUnited #ThankYouThursday #StrongerTogether

For the past 9 years, MotorWorld / MileOne Autogroup has shown their support for the United Way of Wyoming Valley by offering a sweet incentive to a random donor: a free, two-year lease on a new car. Rick Osick, the president of MotorWorld, recently reflected on his company’s long-standing commitment to the work we do. I can’t think of a better charity or organization to support, especially during this pandemic, he said. We can’t thank Rick and MotorWorld enough for conti...nuing to show us support each year. #LiveUnited #StrongerTogether
Distributing children’s books is one of our favorite things to do. We are thrilled that donated books will help the Greater Pittston YMCA and the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA support virtual learners in their A.C.H.I.E.V.E. program.
We are grateful for long-time community partners like Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) who ensure our community’s most vulnerable have access to key safety net services including rent and mortgage assistance.
