Quinn’s mom, Alisa shared this amazing update, The first time Quinn clicked on milk, and I got him some milk, his eyes lit up SO much because he realized I actually understood what he wanted! Having a bike of her own will help Katrina to COME OFF THE SIDELINES, and it’s INSPIRING KATRINA TO BELIEVE SHE CAN, as her mom, Stacey describes below, Our daughter Katrina has not ever been able to enjoy bike riding with family or friends. ... After a recent surgery to help enhance her walking ability, her physical therapy session included... trying a stationary bicycle, and it was a success! She was so enthusiastic about the experience that her PT offered her a chance to try the adaptive bicycle . ... The biggest smile on her face could even be seen through the face mask she must wear as she rode through the empty halls of the hospital basement. She has already made plans to go riding with friends in our neighborhood and on bike hikes. The experience on the adaptive bike has opened a whole new chapter for her. ... Inspiring her to believe she can begin pursuing this activity, and others, that until this moment seemed unattainable or could only be enjoyed by cheering on others from the sidelines. Before having a bike made just for him, Ethan wasn’t able to fully participate / connect with his cousins and neighborhood friends, BUT NOW HE CAN! His mom, Karen describes why this bike will be transformative, We live in a neighborhood where families are always out walking and riding bikes, and we live around the corner from two sets of aunts and uncles and cousins. Ethan loves to be a part of it all..., but he cannot participate in bike rides, and he has limited stamina for walking on his own.
