Meet Villanova Theatre Works alumna and multimedia maven Brie Knight (She/Her) tonight JUNE 1st, 6:00pm https://villanova.zoom.us/j/92259527173 Brie Knight is a playwright, theatre artist, podcast host, and nonprofit consultant whose play Pancake Queen received the ’15 Sue Winge Playwriting Award from Villanova and received its first reading as a part of the inaugural Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival (of which she is a co-founder). Her works weave the fantastical into socially conscious, historically rooted stories, to illuminate societal issues and barriers around identity, race, class, and gender. Her new podcast Kevin and Brie Save the World is an advice podcast centering on friendship, creativity, mental health, and more.

ICYMI another amazing member of the Villanova Theatre Works alumni network is Gina Pisasale. Gina (She/Her)is the resident Dramaturg at People’s Light and a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland; her areas of research include contemporary Asian American theater and performance and American dramaturgy. She has served as a dramaturg for many companies including the Arden, Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival, A&E Biographies, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
