Yesterday I was working on an old dresser base. Keep in mind it was it was missing handles and mirror and the owner didn’t want it. It was stored and forgotten about . So the process to restore begins. When I flipped it over I noticed a rather odd construction. It had the construction of another drawer on the bottom? So I gently slide it out and there it was a secret drawer. Of course I’m fascinated by this find but more so what was inside it. Pictures on metal (not paper...) actually on metal. And masonic books of by laws and procedures. My family has Masons and Eastern Stars in it so I quickly consult my mother and she said those things are to be kept from the public eye. Hence the secret drawer. I plan to give them to masonic lodge but how cool is my job? Never does a day go by that I’m not leaning new things or finding a treasure. Everything is marked 1962. 58 years of age and life was kind to these protected secrets. If anyone knows anything about the prints on metal please share!

Hey hey hey friends..... so I wanted to touch base and make sure everyone is ok.? also I’d like to share something super cool with you. A few months ago someone asked me to make them a desk for their husbands office. And specifically an Industrial style desk. She even came with a photo of what she wanted. Now, you all know I’m a sucker for repurposing but more than anything I’m a meaning and purpose type of thinker... ... This family first came to me when I was in the midst of our roof disaster a few years ago the building was getting ready to go under construction and I had to auction all my things off to pay for the roof. This was prior to the big fire also. So I didn’t want to pass this request up. So here it is....All repurposed items on this piece. The metal rail you see in the back is a piece of C Channel that I added as a pen catch/ and other misc. items like stapler, tape dispenser and so on... .... it’s soooo cool. This desk also inspired me to make some industrial lighting (desk lamps and swag style lamps) pictures will be posted separately of lamps. I guess what I want to say here is never forget where you started, and the people who believed in you along the way.... oh yeah and call me before you go to Wayfair
