Maryland dogs celebrating the cancellation of July 4th fireworks.

Most of you know, Sally is a dog that we pulled from ACCT Philly yesterday. She is in horrendous condition. We rushed her to PennVet, where she is right now, an...d she is receiving care for a severe skin infection and other diagnostics. ACCT reached out to me this morning and told me that a woman had emailed them from Georgia claiming that Sally was her dog. They gave me this woman’s email, so I sent her a message asking all kinds of details. She was dead set the this was her dog that shes been looking for, for the last FOUR years. She told us that the dog had gotten away from them when they were moving from TN to GA. By the time they had gotten to the shelter to look for her, she had been pulled by a rescue in NY and they have been looking for her EVERY single day online since. We spent about 2 hours on the phone, comparing notes, photos details, all very CSI type stuff and we finally were able to determine that Sally IS their dog, Gucci. They cried, we cried. Everyone cried. We applaud this family for never giving up on their family member. They will be driving up to Philadelphiafrom Georgia this weekend to get their dog back. We will still, obviously, be covering the cost of her hospital bill. Theres no way this story could have had a better ending. Stay tuned for the reunion! P.S. Gucci is 15!
