There's been some confusion on how we're handling the current rise in cases here at WTS. I'll put this in video format as well as quote relevant information from the CDC website below. "Local public health authorities determine and establish the quarantine options for their jurisdictions. CDC currently recommends a quarantine period of 14 days. However, based on local circumstances and resources, the following options to shorten quarantine are acceptable alternatives. Quaran...tine can end after Day 10 without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring. With this strategy, residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 1% with an upper limit of about 10%. When diagnostic testing resources are sufficient and available (see bullet 3, below), then quarantine can end after Day 7 if a diagnostic specimen tests negative and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. The specimen may be collected and tested within 48 hours before the time of planned quarantine discontinuation (e.g., in anticipation of testing delays), but quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than after Day 7. With this strategy, the residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 5% with an upper limit of about 12%. In both cases, additional criteria (e.g., continued symptom monitoring and masking through Day 14) must be met and are outlined in the full text." https://www.cdc.gov//scientific-brief-options-to-reduce-qu A couple points - 1) Before you look at the bigger number for the shortened quarantine, do a google search on an "upper limit" as it relates to statistics. Resistance Training for Older Adults "Aging does not appear to enhance or reduce the ability of the musculoskeletal system to adapt to resistance exercise. Significant improvements in muscular strength, muscular power, muscle mass, bone mineral density, and functional capabilities (e.g. gait speed) have been observed in older people who participated in progressive resistance training programs. For older adults, such improvements enhance exercise performance, decrease the risk... for injury, promote independent living, and improve quality of life. Because of the age-related changes in musculoskeletal health, resistance exercise is a beneficial mode of training for older populations who need to enhance musculoskeletal strength and power and resist decrements in muscle mass, bone mineral density, and functional abilities. @garrett.thompson_ showing some solid progress on the #powerclean .. .. This was a 2 year process - we’ve battled through some injuries, mono, a few wrestling seasons, etc. but consistent effort pointed in the right direction, over time, leads to big progress. The catch was a little jenky, but all and all, good clean for a PR. ..... .. LASTING physical changes take time. People want results quickly. I’m just as guilty as the next person to want fast results. When it comes to business, I expect to be on top of the world immediately, but in reality, meteoric rises to the top are the exception, not the rule. .. .. Similarly, how often do you see someone rapidly lose weight, only to gain it all back just as quickly? It’s awesome to see rapid progress, but in my opinion, what leads to lasting results are lifestyle changes that you can implement FOR GOOD. That’s how you keep your changes FOR GOOD. .. ..
