Meet Reid Yarzabek PT, DPT, the newest addition to the Physical Therapy team at RehabWorks. Reid attended Gannon University for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She graduated in 2017 with her Bachelor of Science with sport and exercise science focus. In 2019, she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She enjoys seeing a variety of orthopedic conditions but also enjoys working with individuals with dizziness/vertigo issues, imbalance, and weakness. In her free time Reid enjoys spending her time outdoors including hiking with her dog.

In October, BREAST CANCER AWARENESS is the goal of the pink lights brightly illuminating our Warren General Hospital building. Countless others support the cause by flying pink breast cancer awareness flags. It is all a part of the annual Light the Way to Find a Cure effort to remind the county of Warren about the importance of breast self-exams. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in adult women. But when detected early, 96 percent of women survive the disease.

During NATIONAL PRIMARY CARE and PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT week (October 5 9, 2020), WGH will be celebrating and highlighting the importance of Primary Care and PAs. Family medicine is an essential part of the primary care workforce. In fact, more family physicians and advanced practice providers (PAs & CRNPs) that practice primary care in the U.S. than any other specialty. Not only that, family physicians best match the geographic makeup up communities in the U.S., meaning many underserved communities rely on their family doctors as a lifeline.
