So proud of my former student, Ben Gallaher (@BenGallaherMusic), who will be opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the York Fair on September 14! A big thank you to his mother, who reached out to me via email to update me on Ben's progress and who gave me permission to share her message: --- Hi Warren:... Not sure if you remember me--Ben Gallaher's mother. I brought Benj for guitar lessons with you when you were in Hoover Plaza and he was about 7. Benj... lives in Nashville. You'll be happy to know his first EP will be launched on August 11. He signed a Sony Nashville record deal in 2014 and a Universal Music Publishing songwriting deal in 2015. We have fond memories of him playing Sparkling Stella for you!! We just ran across one of the pictures of Benj playing with you at County Line--do you remember that? He looked about 6 or 7! You were his first and only guitar teacher!! He's playing on September 14 at the York Fair, opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd--if you're free hope you can see him. Tell your young students to hang on to their dreams because with some hard work and good teachers they do come true!! Thanks!
