***Update - 3:45pm*** The linemen have restored power to the areas impacted by the planned outage. Thanks for your patience. ***Original Post***... Unfortunately, the planned outage for the members in the area of Gouldtown Rd and Howard Road is running longer than expected. The line crews are trying to get the power restored as quick as possible.

***Scam Warning*** It appears that some telemarketers have "spoofed" the cooperative's phone number and are making calls all across the state. Sometimes the targets are our members, other victims are across the state and have nothing to do with the Cooperative. The callers are identifying themselves as Warren Electric. Sometimes they are trying to sell solar panels, other times they are offering other services.... If you receive a call from 814-563-7548 and they try to sell you anything or you just have a funny feeling about the phone call, please hang up and call the cooperative office directly.

No matter what Mother Nature throws our way, our linemen are ready to respond. Let the linemen know how much you appreciate them.

***Update 12:20pm*** Power should be restored now for everyone off the Akeley substation. ****Update 12:00pm*** There was a problem with the transmission lines feeding the Akeley substation. Until that issue is resolved, our linemen de-energized the Akeley substation. ... ***Original Post*** Akeley Substation is experiencing an issue. we have a crew on the way.

Today's rain shower hasn't been as bad as last weeks storm was, but it was still powerful enough to take down this healthy tree, knocking down the lines from across the street.

We have contracted with a new Right-of-way trimming company for the upcoming 2021 trimming cycle. Jaflo will be out talking to the members off the Akeley and Irvine substations about their plans for the ROW in that area. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.

*** 7:30pm (8/29) - FINAL UPDATE *** This will be our final post related to the storm. Nearly all the outages have been restored. We will soon have linemen working on the remaining outages. Everything should be restored tonight. We are closing the office and turning the calls over to the after hours call center.
