Washington Health System’s youngest patients will benefit from a recent donation of coloring books and stuffed animals from the Kyle Lives On Foundation. Pictured here is Charity Doyle, the founder of the Foundation and mother of Kyle Hook who died tragically in a car accident in 2018. The foundation was created to carry on his legacy and awards annual scholarships, performs acts of kindness for those who have fallen on hard times, and benefits other charities in the community.

2020 has been a hard year for everyone, but we've still seen so many heartwarming and amazing moments with our team, with our patients, and with our community. Here is one of our favorites from the WHS CARE Center for Family Birth and Women's Health: Earlier this week newborn Isla Rose, helped her daddy ask her mommy a very big and important question! CARE FOR ONE OF OUR OWN! WHS OBGYN, Dr. Butcher, is expecting this month! She is excited to personally deliver her baby at the same facility in which she helps others bring joy into the world. The WHS CARE Center for Family Birth and Women’s Health offers a luxurious atmosphere to recover in, all while providing expert clinical care. One of the most comforting parts of my upcoming delivery is knowing that a neonatal team member will be at my delivery, just in case my baby ne...eds some extra attention, Dr. Butcher says. The CARE Center offers a Level 2 special care nursery, and a neonatal team member is present at every birth. To read more about Dr. Butcher and the CARE Center for Family Birth check out pages 4-5 in the Fall 2020 Connections Magazine! https://whs.org/connections-magazine/ You can even sign up to receive future publications.
