Today, we would like to say congratulations, and welcome back to city firefighters, Hoseman Chad Wehr, and Hoseman Matt Lascola who are graduating from the 65th HACC Career Fire Academy in Harrisburg. Congrats brothers!
City Fire would like to congratulate Captain George McMullen on his retirement. Capt. McMullen, WFD badge 31, served the City of Washington since 1996, and is retiring after 25 years of service. Congrats and good luck!

The City of Washington Fire Department is a collection point for The United States Marine Corps Reserve 2020 Toys for Tots drive. New packaged toys may be dropped off at City Fire headquarters at 45 W. Wheeling Street or the Tylerdale Fire Station at 198 E. Wylie ave. Due to Covid-19 please knock and speak with an on duty firefighter who will assist in your drop off.
Local 2218 would like to congratulate the nurses of West Penn Hospital for organizing, joining the SEIU Healthcare Alliance Local 1199p. The nurses are ensuring that patient care is provided at the highest levels by securing collective bargaining rights and protecting their futures.
