***PERSON OF INTEREST*** REFERENCE CASE# WTPD2021-03722 Washington Township Police took a report of a retail theft that occurred on 05/28/2021 at Walmart, 12751 Washington Township Blvd, Rouzerville Commons.... An unknown white male entered the store around 8:59 pm, headed to the electronics department where he choose a projector and sound bar. He then left the store with the merchandise without paying for the merchandise. The unknown white male is described as being 35-40 years old, with short hair, approximately 6’ - 6’3 tall and numerous tattoos on both arms and legs. Bridge Maintenance - Roadway Closures Beginning Monday June 14, 2021 bridge maintenance will begin on the bridge located at 13516 Waterloo Rd. and the bridge located at 13500 Baer Rd. Per the Washington Township Supervisor's Office, see the notice below: Washington Township usually rents the Red Run, Pine Hill and Monterey park pavilions and the Rouzerville Community Center the first weekday after New Year’s Day. This year, going into 2021, Washington Township has decided to make a change due to COVID-19 and its restrictions along with many other issues associated with it this past year. For 2021, reservations for the park pavilions only, will be taken starting on March 1,2021. We will however begin taking reservations either by phone, email or drop box for the Rouzerville Community Center starting on January 4, 2021. B.O.L.O. - Township Wide NORAD and North Pole PD are tracking a vehicle coming from a northerly direction and believed to be heading towards Washington Township and the Waynesboro area. Suspect number one is described as a white male, approximately 500 years of age506240 lbsrosy red cheeksa nose like a cherryhaving a large belly that has been seen and described as...... shaking like a bowl full of jellywhite hairtwinkling blue eyeswiry glasseswhite, flowing beardwea...ring a red and white coatred and white pants...black bootsblack beltand a red and white floppy hat with a white ball at the top of it. Suspect goes by the last name of Claus, first name Santa, but also has aliases of Kris Kringle, St. Nick/St. Nicholas, and Father Christmas. Suspect has been seen making entry to numerous residences, possibly through chimneys. Subject does not appear to be violent. Suspects number 2 through 8 are described as tinydeer-like in appearancemalebrown furfour legsantlerswearing harnesses with bells. Suspect number 9 is a malebrown furantlersbells on a harnessand what is described as a red glowing nose. On Dec. 15, 2020 Washington Township Police responded to a complaint at Harbaugh Church Cemetery, 14269 Harbaugh Church Rd. for a report of institutional vandalism of a cemetery that occurred between Dec. 11, 2020 and Dec. 15, 2020. An investigation was completed, and a suspect was identified. Washington Township Police have charged, Mason Garnes, 22, 13695 Harbaugh Church Rd., Waynesboro with a felony count of institutional vandalism and a felony count of theft by unlawful taking. M. Washington Township Police Association invite you out to a drive thru trick or treat on Saturday October 31, 2020 from 12-2 at the Walmart Parking Lot! Blue Ridge Fire & Rescue will be handing out candy too! Wear your costume and drive thru the emergency apparatus.

On Saturday Oct. 24 WTPD Officers held a Drug Take Back day at the Walmart Parking Lot. Our community members were able to drop off unused, unwanted & expired medications for safe disposal. Not only did we collect 172.6 lbs of medications. We also had a drop off of POWER RINGS!! YUM!!! In case you were not able to make it out on Saturday, there is a drop box in the lobby of the Washington Township Police Station.
