For Clinicians and Educators: Now is the time to learn to teach mindfulness. WCU’s 12-credit graduate certificate in Applied Mindfulness gives you a deep grounding in the practice and teaching of mindfulness for the full range of clinical and educational applications. Across four courses, in one year, you’ll hone the skills of designing and delivering curricula for specific populations. What's more, you’ll develop your own mindfulness practice and experience the powerful effe...cts that has on your effectiveness with individuals, groups, and communities. Each course has a final project that builds your portfolio of practical applications. You’ll come away with a comprehensive paper on how mindfulness is being successfully applied with a population that interests you. You’ll have a 90-minute workshop you can deliver to that group. That workshop will open the opportunity for a 6- to 8-week curriculum of your own design. Finally, you will have research data and participant evaluations for your program that will help you to expand its use at your jobor as your job.
