NEW DINING HOURS!!! Friday and Saturday, kitchen open until 10:00!!! The Lobby Grille at the We Are Inn will now take kitchen orders until 10:00pm on FRIDAY ...and SATURDAY! We Are extending the hours in order to give our patrons a better window to enjoy our authentic cuisine without rushing everyone in for dinner at 6:00!!! We hope this will invite some guests to come for a later seating and decrease the wait time for dinner service! As always, thank you for the kindness and support. Last call for DINING IN for The Lobby Grille at the We Are Inn!!! We will be open behind our normal 9:00 PM closing time if people are here. If no one is here, we will be closing and see you for takeout!!

Well the smoke has cleared after the shutdown announcement. We were about to roll out our new dining room this weekend after working feverishly to get it done... for the holidays. The purpose was to add more seating and spread it out further to make our patrons more comfortable dining in. In any event, I had no less than a dozen requests asking if we would start delivering. While we could absolutely capture a ton of revenue delivering, I don’t feel comfortable sending drivers out going house to house, face to face, exchanging currency, etc. The potential for spreading the virus is too great to risk for capital gain. Delivering should not be permitted if the mandates were consistent. I would not want someone bringing anything to my house if the situation is as dire as they say. However, in our actual place of business, The Lobby Grille at the We Are Inn, we have extreme measures to control germs and potential contamination. Something as simple as washing hands and using sanitizer after every transaction cannot be achieved in a car. We constantly change gloves and masks to safeguard as much as possible. For our takeout and curbside we have everything needed to assure people that they will not contract anything from our establishment. We have the most up to date sanitizers that neutralize any possible COVID trace within seconds of spraying and we are waiting for our window signs from Ecolab that certify this. While I feel these mandates are ridiculously inconsistent and in no way based on any actual science, we will close the inside dining this evening at midnight and abide by the mandates. There is absolutely no reasonable and/or factual study that shows a clean and well sanitized restaurant is dangerous to anyone’s health. With this next statement, I am not advocating for closing schools or any other business, but we are all well aware that kids in school have spread the flu ridiculously over our lifetimes. I am not comparing the flu to the virus, but I am simply stating that the proximity of children in schools and on buses for extended periods is a sure way to spread the virus. Once the children have contact they then take it home and it is spread further and parents going to work once again adding another layer to the spread. This has been the vicious cycle of spreading the flu and common cold forever. I have one question, if the Governor and his team were absolutely serious about slowing the spread, why would they allow schools to operate with children and teachers in these buildings? This puts us all in danger no matter who we are. Again this statement is not about schools being open, but the truth of the shortcomings of the governor’s mandates. I don’t want public perception to be that we do not care about the community or we would remain open through this and fight for all of our rights granted in the constitution. If we chose to remain open, there would be too much backlash. We don’t want that in this community. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and God Bless You!

UPDATE: Friday night at midnight we will close the indoor dining. We will stay open late for anyone who wants to dine out one last time for the holidays. Well folks, as of Friday night, it will be take out only all through the holidays as the Governor is shutting it down until January 4th. The Lobby Grille at the We Are Inn will be open Friday later than usual if anyone wants to come out for a final dining experience! ... The We Are Inn will have our online ordering finalized Monday and will provide takeout and eventually curbside pickup so that everyone can still enjoy the food. We also have takeout beer available. We hope to see you and wish you health and happiness through the holidays as we endure these trying times.
