Meet Summer Peters Born in the Michigan winter during November 1977, the girl with the sunny name was born into the cold air as her mother’s only child on the S...aginaw Chippewa reservation. From an early age, she observed with an ravenous curiosity, visiting family members and other tribal artisans making art from all mediums. Then she also realized that her mother was also an artist and made beadwork where her mother’s clients would bring her money for her wearable art. This laid the business foundation that would form Summer’s art business as an adult. After a 19 year stint in Arizona, Summer returned back to Michigan armed with a wealth of art business knowledge and experience in the juried art show circuit. Much like the changing of the seasons, Summer remains inspired by the changing environment of the social justice & subcultural landscape which reflects in her art. https://www.facebook.com/mamalonglegz/
