The cooler than normal spots are in the Northeast, West and especially Montana. While rainfall is expected to be 68% less than last year for the U.S. overall and driest in 8 years, snowfall will actually be way up, most in 5 years and 2nd most in 35 years for the U.S. as a whole. Captain's Log 18 Jan '21 update shows some pretty epic changes in the weather across Russia and Canada, still generally dry and mild here in the U.S. Maybe colder and stormier next week with a BIG MAYBE glancing sliver of the Polar Vortex...we said MAYBE. :) For now enjoy the boring weather.
