The landlord/building owner is attempting to terminate the lease agreement with West Manchester Diner, to open a fast food chain restaurant. As a result, the community will lose another small locally owned business, terminate employment for local workers, including several single mothers, and eliminate a table service restaurant for locals and tourists in a family friendly atmosphere. The diner... serves as a special place for many seniors to dine and socialize. West Manchester Diner is an Alzheimer's friendly business, making it unique and special to the community. They've helped collect donations for several charities over the years, including breast cancer and the blind. Frequent patrons of the diner include West Manchester Police, West York Police, and the West York Fire Dept. The West Manchester Diner is owned by a young married couple who have 2 small children under the age of two. They are a Christian family who work very long and hard 7 days a week, with true dedication. Losing their business would be devastating not only personally, but financially as well. We must do all we can to keep our doors open and not lose another small business to corporate America. We need your help. See more
