MERION AVE. LOT PARKING GRAND OPENING! Starting on June 1, 2021, the Merion Ave. Parking Lot will be open for use by Borough Residents, and Businesses. This Parking Lot will hopefully help ease the parking challenges in the Borough Hall area of West Conshohocken! Please refer to the helpful guide to the Rules and Regulations for use for the rest of 2021. 1. During 2021 West Conshohocken Borough will be conducting a pilot program regarding issuing parking permits for the Merio...n Ave. Parking Lot. There will be NO CHARGE for a parking permit in 2021! Starting in 2022 there will be a charge of $25.00 for parking permit. 2. All Vehicles must have a permit to park in the Merion Ave. Parking Lot. In order to qualify for a parking permit, the owner of the vehicle must own or lease real property in West Conshohocken Borough. One (1) parking permit may be issued for every dwelling unit in the Borough. Proof of residence must be established by deed, lease, or such other documentation as shall be deemed acceptable to the Borough. Applications for a permit will be available at the West Conshohocken Borough Police Department, 1001 New DeHaven Street, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM. 3. A Business that is licensed in West Conshohocken Borough will be able receive one (1) permit. 4. Temporary parking permit/short term guest permit parking for use up to 14 days will be issued only to a parking permit holder. Temporary may not be used on a regular basis to provide parking for a person(s) residing in the area but not otherwise eligible for a parking permit. A residence is only allowed one temporary permit at a time. No Business will be eligible for a Temporary Parking/ Short Term Guest Parking Permit. 5. A parking permit shall not guarantee or reserve a permit to park in the Merion Ave. Parking Lot. The parking spaces in the Merion Ave. Parking Lot are first come first serve basis. 6. All vehicles parking in the Merion Ave. Parking Lot will be required to remove their vehicle every 72 hours for a period of 8 hours. 7. The Borough will have the authority to revoke the parking permit of any permit holder found to be in violation for the rules for use of the Merion Ave. Parking Lot during 2021. This pilot program will be used to help determine how best to utilize the Merion Ave. Parking Lot moving forward.

Happy Autumn everyone. Leaf collection is quickly approaching. With the weather turning chilly, the leaves are already falling. Our leaf truck will be out collecting starting the week of October 12th. Please rake your leaves to the curb line for collection. If you would rather bag your leaves, please feel free. We will also collect them for proper disposal.

Good things happen when you least expect it. The trash truck is operation, crews are headed to pick it up and trash will begin being collected by 4pm. Anything not picked up tonight will be completed Wednesday.

Trash collection is still on hold, truck is at the dealership having the issue corrected. We hope to have more information by 11am. Sorry for the delay. We will get all trash collected as soon as possible.

Trash collection will not occur today. We hope the truck will be back in service on Tuesday. We will complete Mondays route first and depending on the timing of when we get the truck back, we will attempt to complete Tuesdays route as well. If it is too late, we will complete the route on Wednesday. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Happy Monday, just an FYI, due to an electrical issue with the trash truck, today's collection will be delayed. We hope to have collection started sometime this afternoon. However, we may need to push trash collection back a day or two this week. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will keep everyone informed.

Update on Balligomingo Road Reconstruction Project PaDot has completed the Balligomingo Road Reconstruction Project around the first week of September. A final inspection was held today (Friday, September 18, 2020) between PaDot, Road-Con (contractor), Borough Engineer, and 14 Union Hill representatives to confirm the project was completed in accordance with the contract plans. Even though the road work has been completed. PaDot announced after the inspection that Balligomin...go Road will be opened for vehicular traffic this afternoon but will be closed again mid-November when the retaining wall work starts at 14 Union Hill Road which is located up the hill over Balligomingo Road. Alan Myers who is the general contractor for the retaining wall will be assuming responsibility of the detour in mid-November until the end of January 2021 as approved by PaDot. PaDot will be issuing a press release today to announce the opening of Balligomingo and the need to close it again from mid-November until January 31, 2021. See more
